1st Sgt. P. Andrew McKenna died August 7, 2015 in Kabul, Afghanistan, during a complex attack on a coalition facility. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne). A Native of Bristol, R.I., Andrew entered the Army on July 24, 1998 as an infantryman and became a Green Beret in 2003.
The Duskin and Stephens Foundation honored Andrew during our 2015 Coast to Coast Ride for the Fallen. His close friend and fellow Green Beret Leo rode his motorcycle from San Diego, California to Arlington National Cemetery in his honor. The ride went through Destin, Florida and Andrew's family participated in our celebration of his life. The Coast to Coast Ride raised money in order to award a youth scholarship in the name of Andrew McKenna beginning in the 2016/2017 school year.
Andrew was a hero who put his life on the line as an infantryman and a Green Beret for the entire war on terror. We are proud to honor him and support his family in anyway possible.
